6 Indie Games Featuring Fathers

Today is Father’s Day and in honor of father figures everywhere, we have complied a list of the most dad-centric indie games around.

Octodad Series
by Young Horses, Inc.

Octodad was one of the earliest Dad themed games, when it was released as freeware in 2010 (it’s still available, for free, today).

Three years later, its sequel Octodad: Dadliest Catch took the gaming world by storm. In this series, you play as a dad, who also happens to be an octopus. The object is to make it through a series of tasks without letting on that you’re not exactly human.

Shower With Your Dad Simulator 2015
by Marbenx

After you’ve managed a farm, partied with the grim reaper and even been a demon goat, the only thing to do in virtual life is shower with a room full of naked 8-bit men. In this fast paced arcade game, you’re a kid trying to find the right dad while avoiding accidentally showering with one of the other dads (that would be awkward).

Available on:
Steam (PC)

Dad Beat Dads
by Stellar Jay Studios

A multiplayer brawler complete with platforming, dinosaurs and diaper throwing. Dad your way through 3 game modes, protecting your baby while beating the other dads senseless.

Available on:
Steam (PC/Mac)
Direct from the Developer (PC/Mac)
XBox One

Who’s Your Daddy
by Evil Tortilla Games

In this two player game, you are either the bumbling father trying to save a mischievous baby from certain death or a baby who is determined to die despite Dad’s best efforts. This game is still in development and at the moment babies have the upper hand. Only time will tell if the Dads will prevail.

Available on:
Steam (PC/Mac/Linux)

Dad by the Sword
by Rocketcat Games

Intended as a swordfighting game, but according to developers the dad jokes got in the way. Players will fight anti-dads on the quest for the Infinity nut, an endless supply of salty snacks.

Coming Late 2016 to PC and More

Which one of these games would you like to play with your Dad? What kind of Dad activities would you like to see in game form?
